ENergy TRANsitions from Coal and carbon: Effects on Societies (ENTRANCES)

Progetto finanziato dall’Unione Europea nell’ambito del Programma Horizon 2020 Ricerca e Innovazione
Grant Agreement: 883947
Durata: 36 months

Notizie

On September 27, 2021, Knowledge and Innovation, together with ENEA and with the support of the University of Cagliari, launched the survey on "Attachment to places and decarbonisation", which is being carried out in the Sulcis area (southern Sardinia).  https://sondaggi.enea.it/index.php/994349 The objective of the survey, carried out as part of the ENTRANCES (Energy Transitions from coal and carbon: Effects on Societies) project, is to understand the effects of the decarbonisation process on individual socio-psychological conditions and on possible changes in the relationship between individuals and the territory, including the choice to emigrate. The results of the survey will be compared ...
On July 23rd and 24th 2021 in Carbonia (Italy), K&I with ENEA and the support of Cagliari University organised the Focus Group activities of the Sulcis case study which the three organisations are conducting in the framework of the ENTRANCES project. The ENTRANCES focus group is a research tool conceived to combine scientific knowledge on globalisation-induced stress factors and “local knowledge” disclosed by key informants through a participatory mapping process. Nine local key informants participated in the focus group, which was implemented thanks to a facilitating team composed by Giovanni Caiati (K&I), Paolo Deiana (ENEA) and Luca Frigau (Cagliari University) ...
On June 10th 2021 the ENTRANCES project organised a virtual co-creation meeting on “Co-creating knowledge on coal and carbon-intensive regions in transition: EU policy and scientific approach”. The main objective of this co-creation meeting was to trigger and help drive dialogue to ensure that the future results of the ENTRANCES project can support EU policies, contribute to bridging the current knowledge gap, and produce policy recommendations to tackle the multiple challenges faced by communities in the European coal and carbon-intensive regions. The co-creation meeting was divided into two sessions. At the morning session, the discussion was focused on the impacts ...
The online kick-off meeting of ENTRANCES project was held from 5 to 7 May 2020. Ricardo Garcia Mira, professor of environmental psychology at A Coruna University and coordinator of the project, introduced the meeting by presenting ENTRANCES main features. Moreover, several representatives of A Coruna University, members of the Project Scientific Advisory Board and representatives of policymaking intervened to present their greetings. Among them, Laura Martín Burillo, member of the Cabinet of the Vice-President of the Government of Spain, who underlined how the project can be useful also for the national policies of the energy transition.
