Between March and June 2024, K&I organised five multi-actor dialogue workshops in four of the European countries involved in the MRV4SOC project. The workshops were organised as part of the project’s broader “multiplier events” initiative, which aimed to present the project’s objectives and activities in the local context and to engage an initial group of stakeholders interested in Carbon Farming (CF) and related agricultural policies. The main objective of the workshops was to discuss and validate the preliminary map of factors hindering or facilitating the adoption of Carbon Farming.
Each workshop focused on three thematic areas relevant to the validation of the map: challenges, barriers and factors hindering the adoption of Carbon Farming Practices (CFP) and access to the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM); potential benefits, opportunities and solutions for overcoming the identified barriers; and suggestions and recommendations for improving existing policies.
A total of 89 people (37 women and 52 men) participated in the five workshops, which were held at the following locations and dates: Dorinne (Belgium), 26 March; Extremadura Dehesas (Spain), 23 April; Casale Monferrato (Italy), 15 May; Amàlie (Czech Republic), 25 May; and Giussano (Italy), 6 June.
