On 12 May, 2026, the online workshop “Shaping a New Climate Resilience Decision Tool: Demonstrations and Open Feedback” was held to demonstrate and further refine the CROSSEU Decision Support System (DSS), a climate service tool developed to support climate-resilient decision-making.
The workshop featured an opening contribution by Sorin Cheval, Project Coordinator of CROSSEU. Technical presentations were delivered by Dana Micu, Liliana Velea, Aleš Urban, and Kristian Nielsen, who presented key aspects of the DSS and its potential applications. Penny Boorman, Head of the Scientific and Technical Team at WEMC and DSS Technical Lead, provided insights into the technical development and functionality of the platform.
The workshop brought together policymakers, infrastructure operators, climate service providers, researchers, private sector representatives, and other stakeholders, whose feedback helped assess the DSS’s relevance, usability, and added value across different sectors. Taking into account the contribution regarding the impact that socio-economic aspects (WP4) may have on the development of the DSS, Gabriele Quinti attended the workshop proceedings.
