Paolo Signore

Holding a University degree in sociology, since 1988 he participated in the activities of the Istituto di Studi Avanzati di Rocca di Papa and the School of Sociology and Human Sciences: For the latter he exercised also directorial functions, as well as holding courses on management of complex organisations, contemporary history and political sociology.

From 1981 to 1996 hewas active in the activitiesfor the protection of citizens’ rights and social representation of the Movimento federativo democratico, for which he held the office of National Administrative Secretary. In that capacity he acquiredhis first experiences in management and organisation (e.g. by executing the preparation of large events and National conventions). He also acquired an expertise in the management of non Profit Organisations, with a special regard tofund-raising.

From 1992 to present he carried outseveral fund-raising campaigns and other activities to promote the funding of projects and other initiatives of Non Profit Organisations by directing or participating in the efforts to raise about 20 Million Euros.

From 1997 he cooperated with different research organisations (Laboratorio di Scienze della Cittadinanza, ASDO, CERFE, and others). His responsibilities included management, coordination and general direction; organisation and administration; networking, external relations and promotional and cultural activities; accounting and relations with donors and clients; personnel management; conflict and crisis management; relations with the banking system; relations with external consultants; relations with partners and other partner and other operational parties; communication, information and training; consulting and directive services to projects supported by entities such as the World Bank, the United Nations system, Italian National and Regional Government bodies, private firms and others.

From 2008 he is General Secretary of the Accademia Aldo Moro, for which, among others, played a directive rolein the organisation of the activities for the Thirty-year memorial of Aldo Moro’s assassination in 2008,and for the Centennial of Aldo Moro’s birth, currently ongoing.

He is an associate of Laboratorio di Scienze della Cittadinanza and volunteered his time for initiatives to provide services for the families, to promote sharing of responsibilities between mothers and fathers, and for child and adult education. Having a profound passion for arts, cinema, music, ancient and contemporary history, he has recently started an activity of artistic production of oil paintings and drawings.
